Beyonce is most powerful celebrity - Forbes
Queen Beyoncé dethroned Oprah Winfrey at the top of the Forbes celebrity list released on Monday (June 30).
"Who runs the world? In entertainment, it’s Beyoncé," declared Forbes, citing the superstar's 95 shows and the success of her self-titled album last year as key reasons for her massive influence.
It is the powerhouse singer's first time at the top spot, springing from 4th last year on the list of most powerful celebs.
She earned an estimated $115m in 2013, making $2.4m per stop on the massive On the Run tour, reported The Guardian.
Her entrepreneurial pursuits - including partnerships with H&M and Pepsi - together with her clothing and fragrance lines cemented her pop culture status, reported Daily Mail.
The Drunk In Love star was also named the most influential celebrity by Time magazine in April.
Husband rapper Jay-Z came in at 6th, making them the most powerful celebrity couple.
No 1: Beyonce
The magazine's annual list since 1999 ranks the top stars from the worlds of movies, TV, music, sports, books and modeling based on money and fame.
No 2: King James
Out of contract but second on the list is two-time NBA champion and four-time NBA Most Valuable Player LeBron James.
He made $72 million last year from endorsement deals including Nike, McDonald’s, and Coca-Cola. James also owns a portion of the headphone company Beats By Dre.
No 3 Rapper and record producer Dr. Dre
Dr. Dre earned more in the past 12 months than anyone in the history of the list, reported Forbes.

- No 6: Jay-Z
- No 7: Floyd Mayweather
- No 8: Rihanna
- No 9: Katy Perry
- No 10: Robert Downey Jr
In the football world, Ballon d'Or holder Cristiano Ronaldo holds the most sway at no. 30. He beat Argentinian Lionel Messi who was 45.
