Fans ecstatic after 1D's Malik makes Instagram account public
Twitter was flooded with posts which included the hashtag "#THANKSZAYNFORMAKINGYOURIGPUBLIC" that started trending just after the One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik removed the privacy block on his Instagram account.
Malik had kept his social media account private all this time and didn't give a reason for his change of heart.
Not long after the star lifted the barrier between his fans and his photo wall, rumours started swirlling that the 21-year-old star had secretly wed fiancee Perrie Edwards.
The reason? A post on Tuesday that showed the young star donning a wedding band on his ring finger.
Malik confirmed, in August last year, that he and the Little Mix singer are engaged after the pair started dating in 2011.
Fans started questioning on Twitter if he is indeed officially hitched.
Soon after the rumours sparked, reps for Malik confirmed to Mail Online that "they've not gone and got secretly hitched, it's just a different type of ring."
The spokesman for the singer later added that "Perrie and Zayn are not married. The picture shows his engagement ring."
