Leonardo DiCaprio joins Instagram and raps at nightclub
He's been doing a few new things lately.
Firstly, US actor Leonardo DiCaprio has finally made his debut on Instagram.
Apparently, a UN summit on climate change was the trigger to step up his social media game. Odd, but hey, we'll take what we can get right?
The inaugural shot he posted on his brand new account, which he set up on Tuesday (Sept 23), was a picture of himself and United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon.
In just three hours, The Wolf of Wall Street actor garnered over 13,000 followers while he followed just four.
He captioned the image: "Today, I have the privilege to speak at the United Nations #Climate2014 Summit where world leaders are expected to announce the bold steps they will take to tackle climate change. Thank you Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon."
The second photo came an hour later. This time, the image, taken by someone else, was of him speaking at the event.
It was in this post that he explained why he thought it was the best setting to sign up for the picture-sharing account.
He captioned the image: "This seems like the perfect setting to join Instagram and share this view from the UN General Assembly. What a great honour this is. #Climate2014"
That isn't all that's been happening with him lately though.
It was only last Thursday (Sept 18) that the 39-year-old actor shocked the crowd when he dropped some rhymes on the mic while he was partying at a Los Angeles nightclub, Pop Crush reported.
The award-winning star was caught on video rapping the song Scenario with US singer-actor Jamie Foxx.
Check out the video here:
The video surfaced after it was posted on Instagram by DJ D. Painter but has subsequently disappeared from the account. It was captioned: "Leo DiCaprio rapping ‘Scenario’ with Jamie Foxx!!! Epic to say the least."
The DJ posted another photo paired with a caption that said: "My video went uber viral today! Sorry, I had to take it down but google 'Leonardo DiCaprio rapping' and you'll see every entertainment site has it..."
DiCaprio sure is a man (a pretty hot one at that) of a few surprising talents.
