She called 911 'to save Heard's life'

Actress Amber Heard, 30, and her friends are expected to testify against US actor Johnny Depp, 53, tomorrow.

Photographer iO Tillett Wright is expected to testify that during an argument, Depp had launched into a "cruel and vicious rage" against Heard and screamed, "What if I pulled your hair back?".

Wright, who had submitted a declaration to court on Monday recounting what happened on the evening of May 21 between Depp and Heard, is also expected to state what started the fight, reported TMZ.com.

In the declaration, Wright, 30, said the Pirates of the Caribbean star was "very upset over something he thought someone had done to him".

She added that while she was on the phone with Heard, she heard her "crying in fear and begging Johnny to stop his attack".

Heard screamed "Call 911" before the call was disconnected. Wright said she "called 911 to save Amber's life".

Heard's neighbour, Raquel Rose Pennington, is also expected to give evidence.

Last month, Heard obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp after an alleged attack that left her with a bruised face.

She filed for divorce after 15 months of marriage.

The hearing tomorrow will determine if it should be extended.

Curb Your Enthusiasm back again

After a five-year hiatus, the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning comedy series is heading back to the small screen for its ninth season.

In a statement on Tuesday, HBO said it was "thrilled" the show's creator, Larry David, had agreed to do the new season.

David, who also stars in the show, plays an exaggerated version of himself in the television series.

Commenting on the return of the hit show, the 68-year-old said: "In the immortal words of Julius Caesar, 'I left, I did nothing, I returned'."

No dates have been announced for the premiere of the new season.

Comedian Hart’s home burgled

It seems that comedian Kevin Hart, 36, has to step up his security measures.

As if the hacking of his Instagram account in March was not enough, Hart's house in Los Angeles was broken into over the weekend while he and his family were away in Miami.

Hart, who will be appearing in the upcoming comedy film Central Intelligence with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, was there to train with Miami Dolphins defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

In spite of surveillance cameras located inside and outside the house, the burglars carted away US$500,000 (S$680,000) worth of jewellery, clothes, watches and other items.

It used to be when you eat, you eat with people. But instant noodles are so instant that people eat by themselves. And it’s a very convenient way of eating but also a very lonely way of eating.
