Stone, Gosling cement their mark in Hollywood

US actors Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling were immortalised on Wednesday. The La La Land stars pressed their hands and feet into cement at the famed TCL Chinese Theater. The ground is embedded with prints of hands and feet belonging to many of Hollywood's biggest names, such as Marilyn Monroe and Tom Hanks.

Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer a hit with Marvel fans

Spider-Man is back in action - with Iron Man in tow.

The first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming has been released, and many say it is spectacular.

The film, the third movie series adaptation about the Marvel web-slinger, stars English actor Tom Holland as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, while US actor Robert Downey Jr reprises his role as Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

Holland's character debuted in Captain America: Civil War.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is a coming-of-age story of Peter's life as a teenager in a New York City school for gifted kids and how he tries to impress Stark, his "new benefactor" as he deals with a new arch enemy, the Vulture, played by Michael Keaton.

Jagger welcomes baby No. 8

The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger became a father for the eighth time on Thursday when his ballerina girlfriend gave birth to a boy in New York.

"Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well," Ms Fran Curtis, publicist for The Rolling Stones, said in a statement.

The 73-year-old singer has seven children with previous partners, as well as five grandchildren. He became a great-grandfather in May 2014.

Trainor cancels US concerts

Bad news for Meghan Trainor's US fans.

"I posted last week that I wasn't feeling great but was powering through the best that I could," said Trainor, 22, on Instagram on Thursday.

"Unfortunately, I am not feeling any better and after leaving the doctor today, I have been put on strict vocal rest for the next two weeks," she added.

The singer's remaining Christmas concerts in the US have been cancelled.

Swift, Malik surprise fans with new duet

In the spirit of giving, Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik gave their respective fans a present with a surprise release of a duet for the soundtrack to Fifty Shades Darker.

Titled I Don't Wanna Live Forever, the new song is available on iTunes.

Swift, 26, showed a sneak peek in an Instagram post.

Malik, 23, also shared a picture of himself holding one of Swift's cats with the caption, "#idontwannaliveforever".

"Zayn and Taylor" and #idontwanttoliveforever were trending on Twitter as the two stars' combined following of over 100 million fans reacted to the unexpected collaboration with enthusiasm.

The song was No. 1 on the US iTunes chart within an hour of its release.

It is the first new song Swift has released in 2016.
