ELLIE GOULDING - STILL FALLING FOR YOU
Following the English singer's success with last year's Love Me Like You Do from the erotic flick Fifty Shades Of Grey, Goulding is once again contributing another song to a big movie, this time Bridget Jones' Baby.
Her silky voice glides over a building synthscape that eventually gives way to an explosive chorus. A midtempo track with romantic lyrics about a couple who remain in love despite experiencing ups and downs, Still Falling For You will likely achieve the same level of success as Love Me Like You Do.
ONEREPUBLIC - KIDS
The US pop rock band's latest song is relentlessly catchy, a sprawling single that celebrates the innocence and beauty of youth.
With an 80s-inspired sound, the summer anthem brings back feelings of nostalgia as frontman Ryan Tedder sings: "Back when we were kids/Swore we would never die".
His signature vocals and falsetto are as spot on as ever.
REGINA SPEKTOR - SMALL BILL$
Instead of her usual soft, melancholic sound, the Moscow-born singer-songwriter delivers mystical chants and high-pitched raps in her eccentric new track.
It's the second single from Spektor's seventh album Remember Us To Life, following the release of the recent bubbly track Bleeding Heart.
While it's interesting to see her experimenting with a new direction, we prefer her previous style of singing in songs like The Call, where her wistful tone complements her lyrics of hope. - Annabelle Zhang
