Glitter amid the gloom
Keep shining through the pandemic with this assortment of sparklers
POH HENG
The homegrown jeweller has unveiled a set of new designs as part of its ORO22 range of contemporary 22K gold jewellery in a signature Moonlight Glow for everyday wear.
The debut collection by Poh Heng’s in-house Singaporean jewellery designer Celine Goh comprises nine finely-crafted pieces that are inspired by the immense power and exceptional beauty of a lunar eclipse.
Each piece interlinks the stages, articulating the seasons of change and growth every woman goes through.
The waxing crescent is one phase away from approaching complete fullness – signifying an individual’s intention, culminating in a full moon, round and illuminated – representing the strength of a woman at the height of power, and a time to celebrate growth and progress.
Finally, after the full moon, it wanes, the moon appearing smaller, reminding women of a time of gratitude and to recharge.
The ORO22 Eclipse collection is now available at all Poh Heng boutiques.
LEE HWA JEWELLERY
The local jeweller commemorates 50 illustrious years with its new Destinee Grandir Collection, which encapsulates the vision of celebrating one’s special moments and aspirations.
Each commemorative piece is immaculately crafted with a celebratory trail of five Destinee diamonds, arranged in a swirl of ascending sizes to parallel one’s journey through years of personal growth and new experiences, while the sparkling Star element ushers an even brighter future.
Choose from the Pendant (from $2,368), Ring (from $3,128) Soft Bangle (from $6,058), Ear Climbers (from $2,528) and Multi-Wear Earrings (from $2,728).
The Destinee Grandir Collection is available from now till Nov 1 at all Lee Hwa Jewellery retail boutiques and its e-boutique.
SWAROVSKI
Ahead of the release of the film Wonder Woman 1984 on Dec 24 and together with Warner Bros. and DC, beloved superhero Wonder Woman is celebrated with two sparkling collections for the Atelier Swarovski and Swarovski ranges that underline the Austrian jewellery brand’s efforts to promote female empowerment.
Both draw inspiration from her golden armour and eagle wings, displaying femininity, strength and determination.
The Swarovski line features a variety of sparkling styles that harness the power of Wonder Woman with Swarovski crystals and golden tones.
They include the striking pave and Swarovski Crystal Mesh Cuff ($379), hoop earrings ($149), necklace ($129), double ring ($249), bracelet ($149) and tassel earrings ($279).

PANDORA
In conjunction with the big-screen release of the Disney movie Mulan, the Danish jewellery brand introduces two new charms to the Disney X Pandora Collection.
Just like the titular Chinese heroine who balances society’s demands with a longing to embrace who she is on the inside, the Disney Mulan Dangle Charm ($129) is engraved with the powerful reminder to “be strong and be yourself”.
Meanwhile, created with a layer of richly coloured enamel, the sterling silver Mushu dragon wraps around another hand-crafted charm ($89).
The Disney x Pandora Mulan Collection is now available at all Pandora stores and the eStore.
BYCANARY
The sister brand of the esteemed Canary Diamond Co was launched earlier this month in the midst of the pandemic as a conscious, fully e-commerce brand, offering sustainable and high-quality fine jewellery at an affordable price point.
ByCanary is also digital-first in production, as it uses 3D-printed jewellery moulds - each piece is made upon order - to prevent raw material and inventory wastage from inaccuracies and human error.
ByCanary is looking to eventually introduce metal printing technology to hasten the delivery time to within two weeks instead of the current 30 days lead time with 3D printed moulds.
Its first designer collection is in collaboration with Ung Yiu Lin, a Malaysian entrepreneur, shoe designer and mother of three.
It was designed with modularity in mind, featuring buildable and stackable pieces to bring you from day to night, classy to edgy.
Highlights of the Yiulin X ByCanary collection (from $4,000 for earrings to $29,800 for necklaces) include the Black Gold Asscher Studs with Wing Inspired Accessories, Tennis Necklace and Detachable Rose Gold Emerald Head with Round Diamond Band.
