5 things about Singapore Coffee Festival
The buzz we're getting from the inaugural Singapore Coffee Festival is not just from the caffeine.
It's shaping out to be a fun weekend of coffee, food and fun.
Here are five things to do at the festival:
1 COFFEE OMAKASE
The Straits Times' queen of food Tan Hsueh Yun has curated a special coffee set, limited to 20 guests at $60 each.
Some items on the menu include espresso-infused crackled pork from Curbside Cafe, Pulse Patisserie's salted egg yolk cream puff and Buck Tile St Cafe's Blue Velvet cake.
2 EAT EAT EAT
That's the whole point of an F&B festival, isn't it? The festival will have more than 100 exhibitors - including famous names such as Dapper Coffee, Oriole Cafe, Chye Seng Huat Hardware and Common Man Coffee Roasters - so you can try out their food and brews without running all over the island.
3 GET BEAUTIFUL
The Shiseido Parlour is a beauty pop-up area where you will be served special confectionary and tea flown in from Ginza, Japan.
You can try out Shiseido products, but you might be too busy eating the Shiseido Parlour cheese cake and ganache.
4 LISTEN UP
It's not just food though. It's a good time to catch up on some of Singapore's top musicians as well, such as performers Charlie Lim, Inch Chua, Joie Tan and Disco Hue.
5 WATCH A MOVIE
With local films increasingly receiving accolades all over the world, it's time to appreciate them anew. Iconic titles Eating Air, 881, Singapore Dreaming and 7 Letters will be screened at 9pm each night of the festival.
