Two local brands among the Ramen Rater's Top 10 Instant Noodles of All Time of 2015

The reputation of Singapore's food continues to grow around the world, though high-brow gastronomers may turn their noses up at this latest achievement.

A US blog called The Ramen Rater has released the latest edition of The Top 10 Instant Noodles Of All Time.

A meticulous list of the best dried noodles from around the world and Singapore features twice.

Prima Taste's Laksa LaMian (above) and Curry LaMian ranked third and fifth on the annual compilation by blogger Hans Lienesch.

The self-styled Ramen Rater has reviewed more than 1,600 types of instant noodles on his website since 2002.

Both noodles were featured for the third time in as many years since Lienesch began choosing ten best in 2013.

Malaysian brands featured five time, including MyKuali's Penang Red Tom Yum Goong Noodles. That took the top spot for its "full on flavour".

In 2014, Lienisch gave Laksa LaMian 5 out of 5 stars.

He described it as "masterfully executed", with its thick, chewy noodles accompanied by a "deep and flavourful" broth that had a "great homemade 'stewed for hours' kind of feel" while the Curry LaMian's "luxuriant" broth is "worth the wait" despite a longer preparation time.

The last three slots in the list were occupied by Thailand's Mama Oriental Style Instant Noodles Green Curry Flavour (No. 8), Maruchan Gotsumori Sauce Yakisoba from Japan (No. 9) and Taiwan's A-Sha Tomato Noodle with Vine Ripened Tomato Sauce (No. 10).
