Selynna Norhisham loves to eat.

“Whatever time I spend not eating, I spend watching videos of foodies. It is interesting to see the different types of food and cooking styles across the globe and how they compare to ours here in Singapore.

“And then I’ll get hungry.”

For Selynna, 22, mum’s cooking is the best.

The administrative manager for a logistics firm said: “I am obsessed with my mum’s home cooked beef bolognaise.

“I request for this at least once a week and it seems to taste better each time.”

What she doesn’t love are insects. Selynna has entomophobia (the fear of insects).

“I cannot bear the thought of creepy crawlies on my skin and just thinking about it makes me anxious. I can’t even sit through more than 10 seconds of insects in a show or documentary,” she said.

She has one other quirk. She can’t stand anyone or anything touching her forehead, which is why she sleeps with a pillow over her eyes.

“It makes me feel secure and that no monsters will try to touch my forehead when I’m asleep.”
