Jimmy Fallon impersonates Donald Trump, has debate with Hillary Clinton

On Wednesday (Sept 16), The Tonight Show hosted quite possibly one of the most entertaining presidential debates so far.

US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who was the US late night show's special guest, found herself embroiled in a hilarious argument with fellow candidate Donald Trump — who was actually host Jimmy Fallon in a wig.

During the four-minute long debate — which took the form of a fake phone call — Fallon, in his best impression of Trump, quizzed Clinton on issues ranging from women's rights to immigration policies.

"You recently said, quote: 'Mr Trump insults and dismisses women'. But tell me what would you do to help women in this country," asked Fallon.

Clinton replied: "I spent my entire career fighting for women's rights. I pushed for equal pay in the work place, for protecting women's health and reproductive rights, making quality childcare a reality for families."

She then asked "Trump": "You know I'm really curious Donald, what is your stance on women's issues?"

"Look I know a lot of women and they all have issues," responded Fallon, who instantly drew laughter from both the audience and Clinton.

Fallon also took the opportunity to make fun of Trump's controversial comments about illegal immigrants. During one of his speeches, the real estate developer promised to build a wall along the US-Mexico border to keep illegal immigrants out of the country.

When asked "wall or giant wall?", Clinton took a jab at Trump's infamous comments: "America was built by people who came here. They worked their hearts out for a better life."

"Do you have any idea what it's like to work so hard for something...to be so close to getting it and then someone pops out and tries to take it away?"

Towards the end of the debate, Clinton, who had clearly won over the audience, pulled out her own, well, trump card.

In response to Fallon's comment on presidential candidate Bernie Sanders' hair, she said: "At least he doesn't have one strand that he just twirls over his head like a soft serve at Dairy Queen."

"Toupee...I mean touche," replied Fallon.
