Amy Schumer calls for tighter gun controls
Amy Schumer has teamed with New York senator (and cousin) Chuck Schumer in a plea for tighter gun laws.
Her appeal comes after a gunman opened fire at a movie screening of Schumer's Trainwreck in Lafayette, Louisiana, last month.
"I'm not sure why this man chose my movie to end those two lives and injure nine others, but it was very personal for me," the comedienne said at a press conference on Monday.
She added, "These shootings have got to stop. I don't know how else to say it."
