Movie Review: Bad Moms
Being a mother is a tiring and oftentimes thankless job.
Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn drive the point home in this comedy about three under-appreciated mums who desperately need a break from motherhood.
But Bad Moms' main flaw is that the problems the trio face are so stereotypical.
The rival mums, played by Christina Applegate and Jada Pinkett Smith, are also extremely one-dimensional.
Sure, motherhood has its downsides, but as one girl puts it, mothers wanting to take a break are plain selfish.
Yes, mothers do need a break, but how the story unfolds on screen is exaggerated.
My bet is that fathers will take offence, as they are painted as useless jerks.
When the best part of the movie is the credits, where the actresses share candid moments with their real mums, you know Bad Moms belongs to the naughty corner.
