Bankruptcy filing a precaution: 50 Cent
50 Cent has spoken after filing for bankruptcy on Monday.
The US rapper told E! News that his action was a precautionary measure after a sex tape lawsuit in which the jury ordered him to pay US$5 million (S$6.8m) to a woman who said he had leaked a video she had made with her boyfriend.
"You know when you're successful, you become a target. I don't want to be a bull's eye," said 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson. He can be seen in the boxing movie Southpaw.
