Leto apologises to Swift for diss
Jared Leto has issued a public apology to Taylor Swift, 25, and her fans after the Suicide Squad actor apparently insulted the US pop star and her music.
On Monday, celebrity gossip site TMZ released a video of the US actor-rocker and his 30 Seconds To Mars bandmates listening to Swift's tracks from her 1989 album for musical inspiration.
After critiquing Welcome to New York ("I don't like this at all") and praising Blank Space ("I like this verse actually"), Leto, 43, delivered an expletive-laden verdict.
He later took to Twitter to recant, writing: "The truth is I think @taylorswift13 is amazing + an incredible example of what's possible. If I hurt her or her fans my sincerest apologies."
