Must-see MVs
From One Direction to Carrie Underwood, here are some music videos that are catching our attention this week.
ONE DIRECTION
DRAG ME DOWN
If there's a pop group who can do a space-tastic MV, it'd have to be 1D. They are the ones with the budget anyway.
Drag Me Down, the UK boy band's first post-Zayn Malik video, was shot at Nasa's Johnson Space Center in Houston - the guys were given unprecedented access - and features them training to go into space in the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility. It's all very cool, with scenes of simulators, robots and, of course, Harry Styles and gang in astronaut suits.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD
SMOKE BREAK
Despite its title, the US country music queen's new song is not about tobacco addiction. Actually, there isn't a cigarette in sight here.
The mother of one uses the term "smoke break" as a metaphor to describe hardworking, ordinary folk who need a moment of respite from their difficult lives. There's the diner waitress, the horse trainer, the grimy welder.
Underwood plays a travelling musician, hitchhiking across the Mojave Desert with her guitar and radio, and looking gorgeous as ever.
TYGA
STIMULATED
The US rapper's latest is like a mini reality TV episode. Shot with minimal fancy editing tricks, it also, for the first time, shows the love between Tyga and his girlfriend, Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kylie Jenner.
The MV starts off with him lounging at his beachfront mansion and penning rap lyrics. When Jenner arrives, the couple proceed to give us plenty of PDA. Hugs, kisses, piggyback rides, you name it.
