There's Bad Blood between Calvin Harris and Zayn Malik... And Taylor Swift's involved

Twitter once again became the battle field for a celebrity war, this time with Calvin Harris and Zayn Malik exchanging gunfire.

The war of tweets between the Scottish DJ and the ex-One Direction member erupted when the latter retweeted a photo posted by @FemaleTexts that compared Taylor Swift — who is Harris' girlfriend — and Miley Cyrus' views on music streaming services.

The now-deleted photo contained a quote from Swift's interview from Time: "(People) can still listen to my music if they get it on iTunes. I'm always up for trying something. And I tried it and I didn't like the way it felt. I think there should be an inherent value placed on art."

In contrast, it quoted Cyrus as saying: "I've made my money. If no one buys my album, cool. It's fine. I've got a house and I've got dogs that I love. I don't need anything else."

@FemaleTexts added the caption "the difference is astounding" to the photo.

Harris drew blood as he jumped to Swift's defence. The 31-year-old replied to @FemaleTexts and Malik with this tweet.

He then continued his tirade with a succession of tweets.

It wasn't long before Malik returned with his own salvo. The 22-year-old blasted Harris for falsely accusing him of taking a jab at Swift.

Now here's when things start getting interesting. In an attempt to make peace with Malik, Harris tried to explain that his words were directed at photo and not Malik.

There's no telling what caused Harris to make a sudden u-turn. We suspect it's either he has a killer collaboration on his hands (which involves Malik) or he just ran out of ammunition — although the latter is more likely.

His efforts, however, were in vain. Malik refused to back down and continued lashing out at Harris.

And as Malik put the final nail in Harris' coffin, the Feel So Close producer offered one last peace offering, which went ignored by Malik.

Ouch. Turns out band aids really don't fix bullet holes.
