1,000 Nee Soon Central residents pledge to go green
About 1,000 Nee Soon Central residents signed up for the Reduce @ North West programme, an initiative by Chung Cheng High School students to get residents to go green. The programme was part of the school's 75th year anniversary celebration and was organised with the North West Community Development Council.
Residents were encouraged to save electricity through a lucky draw to win vouchers for households that manage to reduce their monthly electricity use by at least 10 per cent, reported The Straits Times.
Nee Soon MP Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim joined the 1,450 students yesterday in visiting 75 blocks in the area to spread go-green messages.
