Ashley Cole to be questioned by LAPD over assault
Ashley Cole, the football player soon to be known as the ex-Chelsea football player, is to be questioned by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) over allegations that he assaulted a woman in a Los Angeles night club.
Irish newspaper the Irish Independent reported that the LAPD have 30 days to investigate the incident and that they received the complaint on May 31 before they decide whether or not to press charges against Cole.
According to the Daily Mail, the 33-year-old England player was partying in a an exclusive Hollywood nightclub Lure when he allegedly poured champagne over MTV presenter Donatella Panayiotou while shouting "You know what this is for!"

She is said to have responded by slapping the man who is overlooked for Englad's World squad and was heard shouting: "I've never done anything to you. Who the F****k do you think you are?"
Apparently, the altercation spilled on to the streets and the Daily Mail reported that Panayiotou was reported to have been "pushed and shoved during the row as well as having her throat piercing ripped out."

According to Daily Mirror, a patron of the club said that there seemed to be no reason for the alleged altercation and that both parties were even seen drinking champagne in each other's company before it all went sour.
The Daily Mail tried to contact Panayiotou to comment about the incident, but she refused to say anything other than the incident was now in the hands of the police.
