Bank lending up in October

Bank lending here rose 0.8 per cent in October from a month ago, as growth in business lending turned positive, preliminary data from the Monetary Authority of Singapore showed yesterday.
Bank lending in October was up 1 per cent from a year ago.
Loans through the domestic banking unit stood at $608 billion in October. Business loans rose 1 per cent in October from September, at $359 billion. Consumer loans' growth stood at 0.4 per cent in October from September to $249 billion. - THE BUSINESS TIMES
