Check out this wheelchair that's like a tank
The Tankchair is not what you would call a normal wheelchair.
It can climb stairs, travel across muddy, rocky, sandy, snowy terrain and reach up to 48kmh.
Its backrest can fully recline, and it can be fitted with mounts for mobile phones, laptops, fishing rods and cups.
But all these awesome features come at a cost - a whopping US$19,500 (S$24,000).
The cost is less surprising when you take into account that each chair is customised, reported Business Week.
For example, a paralysed Phoenix police officer has a customised Tankchair with a pulsing LED that induces nausea to stop suspects.
Tankchair inventor Brad Soden, a combat veteran with no engineering experience, came up with the idea after his wife Liz lost the use of her legs in an accident.
