Heavy rainfall causes flash floods

At about 5pm yesterday, the Land Transport Authority tweeted about a flash flood at Yishun Avenue 5.
National water agency PUB followed up with tweets about more flash floods at MacPherson/Harvey Roads, as well as Lorong Ong Lye and Lorong Gambir. Within 20 minutes, the flash floods had subsided at the latter locations.
But PUB's tweets at 5.18pm warned of a high flood risk at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3/Mayflower Avenue.
There was also mild flooding at the first level of Sembawang Shopping Centre, but damage was minimal.
