Man jailed 42 months for robbing Marina Bay Sands gambler after tailing him home
A man who robbed another gambler after following him home from the Marina Bay Sands casino was today (Oct 6) jailed 42 months and given 12 strokes of the cane.
Malaysian Suresh Kannan, 33, rode his motorcycle and tailed Mr Witasyah Siah, 61, all the way from MBS to a Compassvale Link flat in Sengkang where the Indonesian's daughter lives.
Suresh attacked Mr Siah with his helmet before making off with his bag containing gambling chips worth $65, $20 in cash, a passport and plane tickets.
Mr Siah suffered head and hand injuries and was treated at Changi General Hospital.
