Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong could not resist taking a selfie with his wax figure at Madame Tussauds Singapore during a visit on Tuesday, and posted it on his Facebook wall.

The museum features wax figures of local and international sports icons, celebrities and political leaders.

"Spotted many familiar faces, including first President Encik Yusof Ishak, Fandi Ahmad and Phua Chu Kang.

"Also enjoyed the 'Spirit of Singapore' boat ride, a showcase of popular spots and cultural landmarks in Singapore," he wrote.

"Glad that Singapore will now host this famed wax museum."

The exhibits also include wax figures of former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew and his late wife Kwa Geok Choo, which were unveiled yesterday.

They show Mr and Mrs Lee smiling, arm-in-arm, and seated against a backdrop of red flowers formed in the shape of two hearts.

They are also dressed in the colours of Singapore's national flag - red and white.

The museum, at the Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa, opens to the public tomorrow.
