Security guard murdered, dumped in septic tank
A Nepali security guard was murdered, allegedly by his own colleague, and dumped into a septic tank at a factory in Rawang, Selangor.
Police said that the victim, Mr Dinesh Kumar Rai, 27, and the suspect began their shift at the steel factory at about 7pm on Wednesday.
Nobody else were there at that time.
Gombak Assistant Commissioner Ali Ahmad said the suspect returned home at about 4.30am on Thursday.
His roommate, Dal Bahadur Gurung, realised that the suspect was very frantic.
Mr Gurung told police said the suspect’s clothes were soaked in blood and his hand was bandaged. The suspect was seen packing his bags.
Attack
ACP Ali said when Mr Gurung asked where Mr Kumar was, the suspect said he and four other accomplices apparently attacked him.
The suspect said he fled as he was scared.
Mr Gurung then called their boss, who went looking for Mr Kumar in the factory.
He was found dead inside a septic tank about 70m from the empty factory’s guardhouse, The Star reported.
ACP Ali said Mr Kumar had a nylon rope wrapped around his neck and a stab wound on the back of his head.
His body was scratched all over, indicating he was dragged, he said.
