Driver, who slept at wheel, jailed for Marine Parade accident that killed cabby
A sales executive, Lim Wei Hong, 27, who fell asleep while driving, was jailed two months and banned from driving for five years after causing an accident that killed a taxi driver.
Lim dozed off at the wheel while driving home from supper on May 4, 2013.
His vehicle veered to the right crashing into a parked taxi along Marine Parade Road.
The cabby, Mr Mohamed Amin Abdul Manap, 56, was taking a nap inside his vehicle.
He suffered horrific spine and brain injuries, was paralysed, and hospitalised at Changi General Hospital for 11 months.
He died in April last year.
