The minibus was ferrying special needs pupils to school when it collided with a pedestrian on Wednesday (Oct 14) afternoon.

The accident happened after 12pm at the junction of Toa Payoh North and Lorong 1 Toa Payoh, police said.

Bus driver Mr Huang, 40, told Shin Min Daily News that the lights were green as he turned right onto Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

The vehicle, though, knocked down a 69-year-old woman.

He alighted to check what happened and saw that her leg was bleeding heavily.
