Cyclist calls woman an idiot, but netizens think he’s the one who’s not very bright
A cyclist used insulting and abusive language with a woman who did not quickly move out of his way on a footpath.
And he did this in the presence of children.
To make things even worse, he recorded a video of the incident, which happened in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, and put it online.
The video, posted on the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, shows the cyclist following the woman.
He is heard saying: "This auntie is retarded, says I cannot go through."
She seems good-humoured and poses for him, but he says: "Open up your mask, why you scared? You got no balls?"
He argues with her that the footpath is used by both pedestrians and cyclists and calls her an "idiot".
When she gestures for him to push his bicycle, he says: "What push, push? Go to school, study so hard, stupid.
"Find fault with a food delivery guy, very good."
As she walks away from him to cross the road, he shouts at her: "So you're afraid, no guts."
His own face doesn't appear on the video of course, with or without a mask.
Although it seems that the cyclist took the video to shame the woman, many of those commenting on it slammed him instead.
It was felt that he was typical of those giving cyclists a bad reputation. Some added the woman should have recorded him as well.
