Rui En charged in court with careless driving
Actress Rui En appeared in court on Wednesday (June 22) and was charged with careless driving.
Rui En, whose real name is Lu Rui En, 35, is accused of one count of driving without due care and attention at a Clementi Avenue 2 carpark at 4.15pm on April 12.
She allegedly failed to control her car, mounted a kerb and collided into a parked motorcycle.
No plea was taken from the actress, who told the court she intended to plead guilty but would not be engaging a lawyer.
When approached by reporters outside the courtroom, she said: "Thank you for everyone's concern."
She declined to comment further.
She is expected to be back in court on July 1.
The maximum punishment for careless driving is six months' jail or a fine of up to $1,000 or both.
