This Spanish nun used to be a model
Looking at her now in her glasses and striking blue nun's habit, you wouldn't guess that Olalla Oliveros used to be a well-known model and actress in Spain.
Known for appearances on television in TV commercials (which you can watch from the gallery above) and for her acting, the 36-year-old gave up the glam life to become a semi-cloistered nun with the Catholic Church's Order and Mandate of St Michael the Archangel.
This photo from her blog shows what she looked like before taking her vows.
According to Argentinean news website El Diario de Carlos Paz, Oliveros experienced an "internal earthquake" during a pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal, which led to her discovering her calling to become a nun.
After turning down a role in a major film, she joined the blue-clad, semi-cloistered Order and Mandate of St Michael the Archangel, which was recently founded in 2009 in Spain, four years ago and is now known as Sister Olalla del Si de Maria.
The National Catholic Register reported Oliveros as saying: "The Lord is never wrong. He asked if I will follow him, and I could not refuse."
