His girlfriend Lindsey Vonn won a record 63rd World Cup Alpine ski victory in Italy. But Tiger Woods lost - a tooth that is.

The golfer lost a front tooth after being hit in the face by a video camera while cheering on his girlfriend yesterday (Jan 19).

He tried to stay hidden from the paparazzi by wearing a skull mask but well, that didn't work.

Better luck dodging the attention next time, Tiger.

The former world number one surprised Vonn when he turned up in the resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo for a race.

His agent Mark Steinberg said:

"During a crush of photographers at the awards' podium at the World Cup event in Italy, a media member with a shoulder-mounted video camera pushed and surged towards the stage, turned and hit Tiger Woods in the mouth.

"Woods' tooth was knocked out by the incident."

Vonn said about Woods' surprise appearance: "Yes, Tiger came. It was such a surprise. He kept sending me texts saying 'I'm with you'. I couldn't believe it. It was important for him to be here with my family on a day like this."
