WATCH: Man swims in Ngee Ann City fountain to support S'pore athletes
By now, you would probably have seen his face online or laughed at some of the YouTube videos that he appeared in.
One of the clips shows Haresh Tilani, 30, plunging into the fountain in front of Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.
He then appears to swim, freestyle, across the fountain.
"I was actually half-crawling, half-swimming actually through the fountain but I tried to make it seem as if I was actually swimming," the Singaporean said.
He did it for a worthy cause, he said. "I wanted to get the message across that we should give Singapore's athletes a chance and support them in their sporting endeavours."
His antics were uploaded onto his YouTube channel "Ministry of Funny" on Monday (Nov 17).
It has garnered more than 35,000 views since it was published.
Swimming's not the only sport featured. There's also athletics and gymnastics.
Behold him engaging in a mock foot race against an MRT and engaging in some impressive ribbon twirling in the middle of civic district Dhoby Ghaut.
Funny and entertaining as his antics might be, there is a message that comes with the video.
"I saw some of the irrational comments directed at Joseph Schooling and wanted to bring attention to the fact that we need to support out (our) athletes, come rain or shine," he said.
He was referring to some of the online comments slamming Singapore's star swimmer as a foreign talent. The brouhaha caused Schooling's father, Colin Schooling, to publicly rebut the claims.
"I didn't want to produce a video that (was) too preachy... that was why me and my partner decided to to create a video of me (doing) these ridiculous stunts around Singapore," he added.
Fellow graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Terence Chia, 31, films Tilani while he carries out the stunts.
His full-time job: Making YouTube videos
The pair started Ministry of Funny three years ago as a side project.
Then Tilani quit his job as head of e-commerce Scoot earlier this year to be a full-time YouTuber.
Expect to see him supporting Singapore at the upcoming AFF Suzuki Cup.
"While I can't go to the first game, a bunch of us are going show our support at the second game," he said.
