Mother buries son, 9, in kitchen

A housewife in Kuala Lumpur was jailed two years after she admitted to having buried her nine-year-old son’s body under the kitchen floor in March this year.
Tan Boa Jia, 33, told the Selayang magistrate’s court that she did it to protect her husband, Loo Chon Wen, who is now facing trial for the murder of their child, Yong Shen Evan, The Star reported.
The mother of three had earlier claimed trial to the charge, but changed her plea on Thursday.
The jail sentence was to run from May 31, the day she was arrested.
