Free rides to fight transport strike

A Philippine police officer carrying a baby onto a police truck that is providing free rides to commuters following a transport strike by a group of public transport operators in Malabon City, north of Manila, yesterday. The group, collectively called Stop and Go, which operates jeepneys, is protesting a government plan to phase-out jeepneys that are 15 years and older as part of the modernisation of the public transport system.
