#FAIL. Delta deletes its World Cup tweet
When US won the match against Ghana, American airline Delta wanted to celebrate with a show of patriotism.
They posted this tweet.
The only problem? There aren't any giraffes in Ghana.
Responses to Delta's tweet came fast and furious. And they weren't pretty.
Many parts of Africa actually don't have giraffes.
Delta wanted to show patriotism. They showed racism and ignorance instead.
They quickly deleted the tweet and posted apologies on Twitter and its webpage.
That, however, is not the end of the incident.
Yahoo reported that the first apology had the word "precious" instead of "previous". Embarrassing, much.
