Coming on Halloween: Rowling to publish new short story based on Harry Potter character
Fretting for costume ideas for Halloween? How about the Harry Potter character, Dolores Umbridge?
There is, after all, no better way to celebrate a new JK Rowling story.
The Harry Potter creator announced on the Pottermore website that she has written a new story, which will be up on the site on Oct 31.
The story will feature Dolores Umbridge, a former Hogwarts professor who first appeared in the fifth Harry Potter book, published in 2003.
The new 1,700-word story will provide a back story about Umbridge's life.
Filled with new details, it will also include "Rowling's revealing first-person thoughts and reflections about the character," according to an updated posted on Pottermore.com over the weekend.
The post added: "Umbridge is not only one of the most malicious Potter characters, she is the only person other than Lord Voldemort to leave a permanent physical scar on Harry."
You've been warned.
