Movie Review: The Walk (PG)
The thought of doing a high-wire walk is crazy.
To do it between New York City's Twin Towers is sheer lunacy.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt captures the spirit of adventure and bravado one would expect from a daredevil.
His Philippe Petit - the Frenchman who walked across a steel cable strung between the rooftops of the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in 1974 - is spunky, funny, a little obnoxious, driven, romantic, crazy and downright lovable.
Director Robert Zemeckis delivers a thrilling finale that is fraught with obstacles and close calls, but you'll need to sit through the draggy first half that involves Petit's backstory.
Thankfully, Gordon-Levitt is skilled enough to perform the balancing act between drama and excitement to keep you riveted to the very end.

Movie Review: Ed Sheeran Jumpers For Goalposts (PG13)
I dare anyone to watch this film and say Ed Sheeran has no talent.
The British musician's brand of acoustic guitar pop may not be your jam, but there is no denying he is amazing to watch live - and a sweet, decent guy to boot.
Jumpers For Goalposts is a documentary about his July concerts at London's Wembley Stadium, with behind-the-scenes peeks at how the 24-year-old lives.
Sheeran is the only musician to ever play at the 90,000-capacity stadium solo, with just a guitar, loop pedal and a mic.
It is a feat that he keeps audiences spellbound in what is essentially a pub gig on a very large scale.
This intimate look into his life is a godsend for fans and educational for those who don't understand the hype.

Movie Review: Our Times (PG13)
Taiwanese rom-com Our Times is an irresistible combination of nostalgia, humour and heartfelt emotions, making it relatable to anyone who had spent the 90s as an awkward teenager.
Set in 1994, the story centres on high school student Lin Zhenxin (Vivian Sung), a plain Jane who spends her days idolising Andy Lau and fawning over the hottest boy on campus.
An encounter with school bully Xu Taiyu (Darren Wang) makes her his go-to errand girl. It doesn't take long before Lin discovers Xu's warm and kind personality behind his tough cockiness.
Our Times packs a punch for capturing the bittersweet feelings of youthful love.
