The Sultan of Johor entered a crowded eatery in Muar on Friday and sat down to eat with other patrons.
Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar waived formalities aside and ordered food, the New Straits Times (NST) reported.
He also treated all the other diners and paid the proprietor of the eatery to serve free food to all patrons for the rest of the day, the report said.
He did the same on Saturday morning, pulling up at Restoran Muar Soup House at about 7am, said NST.
His breakfast of choice? 'Roti canai garing' (crunchy roti prata), samosa with mutton curry and teh tarik.
