CONFIDENT CITY, GLUM GUNNERS
ARSENAL v MAN CITY Arsenal have struggled against the big sides in recent times. In fact, it's now 12 games without a win for the Gunners in matches against Chelsea and the two Manchester clubs combined.
However, their home record is not to be sniffed at. Eleven wins and four draws from their previous 15 domestic league and cup matches are impressive.
This will be close, but City should have enough to edge this one.
l Prediction: Arsenal 1 Man City 2
MAN UNITED v ASTON VILLA
It's difficult to see Villa overcoming the weight of history where United have won 26 of their 36 meetings since 1995.
United have won their last six meetings with Villa and scored 17 goals in the process, so a morale-boosting three points are on the cards against a team who are frighteningly inconsistent.
l Prediction: Man United 2 Aston Villa 1
CRYSTAL PALACE v CHELSEA Chelsea have won seven and drawn two of their nine EPL meetings with the Eagles, and the fact that Jose Mourinho's men have lost only one of their last 16 top-flight games suggests that an away win is very much on the cards.
l Prediction: Crystal Palace 0 Chelsea 2
SOUTHAMPTON v NEWCASTLE
Southampton have won nine and lost just one of 13 previous home encounters with Newcastle in the EPL, and their pace and vibrancy should see them through against a side who were mauled by Everton in midweek.
l Prediction: Southampton 2 Newcastle 0
STOKE v HULL Hull have lost seven of their eight away games to top-half teams, but the fact that Stoke are now safe from relegation could see Mark Hughes men ease off a touch, allowing the hungry Tigers to grab another precious point in their fight to beat the drop.
l Prediction: Stoke 1 Hull 1
SWANSEA v NORWICH Swansea may have failed to win any of their last nine matches but, with Michu back, this is a great opportunity to end that run against a team who have lost six in a row on their travels and conceded 17 times in the process.
l Prediction: Swansea 3 Norwich 1
WEST BROM v CARDIFF
The epitome of the relegation six-pointer. West Brom have not won a home match since the first day of 2014, but the Baggies can register a crucial win against relegation rivals Cardiff who have lost seven on the bounce on their travels.
l Prediction: West Brom 2 Cardiff 1
FULHAM v EVERTON
Fulham have played 10 EPL games against the current top six this season and lost all 10, conceding a whopping 32 goals in the process.
Everton, by contrast, have played 10 away games against teams below the top six and are yet to taste defeat.
l Prediction: Fulham 1 Everton 2
LIVERPOOL v TOTTENHAM Spurs were lucky to nick all three points against Southampton last time out, and no wins and six defeats from their seven matches against the top four this season indicate that they are up against it.
l Prediction: Liverpool 2 Tottenham 1
SUNDERLAND v WEST HAM
West Ham are on a run of five wins in their last eight, which is in stark contrast to the one point from a possible 15 that Sunderland have garnered in recent weeks. However, the fact that they are unbeaten in five Premier League games against the Hammers suggests that Sam Allardyce's men won't leave with all three points.
l Prediction: Sunderland 1 West Ham 1
