Did Zenit St Petersburg take the greatest team photo ever?

Team photos can be dull affairs.

Often not that different from school photos.

You know, the typically taken on the pitch, wearing the club strip. A line of players standing at the back. Another line kneeling at the front.

They appear to be seen as chores by all involved.

They do things differently in Russia.

Why not go all out? Why not do it in fancy dress?

Zenit St Petersburg won their first Russian Premier League championship in three years and decided to celebrate in style by posing for a team photo dressed in retro royal gear.

Former Manchester City midfielder Javi Garcia tweeted the picture of himself and the team (including former Arsenal player Andrey Arshavin) centred around former Tottenham manager Andre Villa-Boas while dressed as regency period generals and dignitaries.

Zenit's win comes after Villa-Boas' first full season in charge.

So of course, that calls for them to look like a Russian version of Downton Abbey.

Stay classy, guys.
