English non-league side takes car heating to a new level
Big clubs spend big bucks on undersoil heating to ensure that their fixtures aren’t affected by cold weather.
English non-league side Bognor Regis have a more cost-effective solution.
Stuck with a frozen pitch ahead of their FA Trophy second round with Altrincham, Bognor Regis decided to get creative.
They drove six cars onto the pitch, using the heat from the vehicles to thaw the turf.
And it worked! The field was deemed fit to play on.
Oh, and Bognor Regis won the tie 2-1 to boot.
