Footballer robbed days after posting photo of luxury watch on Twitter
Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi was robbed on his way home after a match against Genoa on Saturday (Dec 5).
The Argentinian was parking his car, a Rolls Royce, when two men approached him and demanded money.
When Icardi refused, the duo took his luxury Hublot watch and escaped on a motorcycle.
Just days before the robbery, Icardi had posted a photo of his watch on Twitter, reported AFP.
Icardi, who is Inter’s top scorer with four goals this season but was on the bench for the match against Genoa, was not harmed during the incident.
He has made a police report in Milan.
