Kaka mobbed as he touches down in Orlando
He may have had to go through the heartbreak of leaving his beloved AC Milan a second time.
But the fans of Orlando City, who will make their Major League Soccer debut next year, certainly cushioned the blow for Kaka when the former Brazil superstar arrived in the United States.
After mutually agreeing to part ways with Milan, he reportedly agreed a deal to become Orlando's first marquee signing before his arrival at the Orlando International Airport, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
The report also said that the former world player of the year will return to his hometown club Sao Paulo on a six-month loan before linking up with his new teammates in January.
A World Cup winner with Brazil in 2002, Kaka first joined AC Milan as a 21-year-old for 8.5 million euros ($14.5m) from Sao Paulo in 2003 and quickly established himself under Carlo Ancelotti.
During his first spell with the Rossoneri, Kaka won one Serie A title, one Champions League, one Uefa Super Cup and one Fifa Club World Cup before he was sold to Real Madrid for 70m euros.
After a trying four years in Madrid, Kaka returned to Milan on a free transfer last year.
