Man United duo make it to list of most valuable young players
From the class of ’92 to the nurturing of precocious players like Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United have displayed a keen eye for young talent.
These highly rated players have played their part in bringing glory to the Red Devils and this blueprint is something United have always firmly believed in.
In a report complied by Soccerex, 10 top young players were identified according to a weighted value and two of those players belong to the English giants.
New signing Memphis Depay featured at No 3, just behind long-term Red Devils target Marquinhos.
The Dutch forward is valued at £28.3 million ($59m), while Luke Shaw also makes the list at No 9 after being rated at £18m.
United’s arch-rivals Liverpool have the highest-rated player of the lot with Raheem Sterling at £35m, which will be well received by potential suitors Manchester City.
