More sex abuse suspects identified
Police have identified 83 potential suspects in the sex abuse scandal that has rocked English football and believe 98 clubs from all levels have been "impacted", the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) revealed yesterday.
The scandal has seen two men charged with sex abuse although several of the coaches against whom allegations have been made are out of reach as they are dead.
The NPCC added that 98 per cent of the victims are male with their ages at the time of the alleged abuse ranging from seven to 20. - AFP
Willett hot on Bello's heels
US Masters champion Danny Willett rediscovered his magic touch as he shot a four-under-par 66 to lie hot on the trail of Rafa Cabrera Bello at the Hong Kong Open yesterday.
As injury-hampered defending champion Justin Rose and Ian Poulter flirted with the cut, Willett finally found the form that has eluded him for months.
However, Willett remains five adrift of Ryder Cup teammate Cabrera Bello, who shot a sparkling 65 at par-70 Fanling to lie on 11 under and extend his lead to three strokes. - AFP
Spurs suffer first away loss
The San Antonio Spurs suffered their first road loss of the season yesterday morning (Singapore time), as the Chicago Bulls clinched a 95-91 victory that snapped a three-game skid.
The Spurs needed just one more road win to tie the NBA record of 14 straight road victories to start a season, set by the Golden State Warriors last season. - AFP
