United overpaying for Martial? Hernandez agrees

Javier Hernandez may have secured a late move to Bayer Leverkusen.

But it could be that the Mexico striker still feels bitter about his Manchester United exit.

Hernandez, 27, was allowed to leave Old Trafford, after manager Louis van Gaal looked set to sign Monaco forward Anthony Martial for £36 million ($78m).

Chicharito, as Hernandez is known to his fans, favourited a tweet from Fox Sport journalist Diego Latorre, questioning van Gaal’s decision to pay so much for his 19-year-old replacement.

The tweet read: “It’s absolute madness that United are going to pay that much for Martial. Football is a farce, a business for the few.”

Showing his unhappiness or a result of casual clicking?

Considering the Mexico international spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, it does not take a genius to realise things were not perfect.

At the press conference unveiling him at Leverkusen, Hernandez said the move was to find happiness:

"I want to go back to feeling important and happy. I want to find happiness.

"Bayer made me feel important and loved and coming here was not a difficult decision to make. They made me feel wanted."
