Can you handle a Fergie burger?
Want to have a taste of Sir Alex Ferguson’s legendary temper?
Well, now you can, sort of.
Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville have come up with a burger called The Boss for the food menu at their £20 million (S$40m) Hotel Football, which opens in March.
Like Ferguson, The Boss burger has a fiery side and includes dry aged beef and Scotch Bonnet chillies.
If you're wondering how hot Scotch Bonnets are, many have a heat rating of 100,000–350,000 Scoville units. Jalepenos, comparatively are between 2,500 and 8,000 Scoville units.
Guests can wash the burger down with a number of beverages named after football at the hotel in Manchester.
They include the Red Devil - a mixture of rum, strawberry puree, cranberry juice and lime juice -The Posh, Early Shower, The Equaliser and the creatively named Extra Thyme.
Club legend Eric Cantona is also honoured in the hotel menu with a drink called The King, which consists of French ingredients.
Giggs and Neville have also created dishes linked to themselves.
The Welshman has come up with The Wizard, a lamb burger from his homeland.
Neville created Nev’s Noodle Pot, which is a noodle dish with chicken and mushrooms.
Even rivals Chelsea have a place in the menu with Goal and Zola - a four-cheese pizza - and the Jose Mourinho-inspired Portuguese chicken burger called, what else, The Special One.
