Depleted Toffees won't trouble City
WEST HAM v TOTTENHAM
Tottenham have won four of their last six league games and scored 12 times in their previous four encounters, so the home defence is likely to come under serious scrutiny.
The fact that Spurs have won four of the past six meetings at Upton Park, losing only once, suggests that the Hammers' miserable run will continue.
- Prediction: West Ham 1 Tottenham 2
ASTON VILLA v HULL
Villa have picked up just one point out of a possible 18, and safety no longer looks like a formality.
Maybe Paul Lambert can impress upon his players that Villa have won their last five home games against Hull.
He shouldn't mention that those five games span 40 years.
- Prediction: Aston Villa 1 Hull 1
MAN UNITED v SUNDERLAND
Sunderland have performed miracles in recent weeks, but they haven't won at Old Trafford since May 1968 and they've lost their previous six EPL encounters against the Red Devils.
- Prediction: Man United 2 Sunderland 0
NEWCASTLE v CARDIFF
Despite sitting comfortably in the top half of the table, Newcastle are on their worst run of form since 1987 following six straight defeats, leading fans to plan a walk-out protest on the hour mark of this clash against a Cardiff side who need a win to jump out of the drop zone.
- Prediction: Newcastle 1 Cardiff 1
STOKE v FULHAM
Against the bottom clubs, Stoke have been ruthless; in their last nine home matches against sides positioned eighth and below, the Potters are unbeaten.
The statistics point to a home win. However, with everything to play for, Fulham may just escape with a point.
- Prediction: Stoke 1 Fulham 1
SWANSEA v SOUTHAMPTON
Southampton dealt Everton's Champions League hopes a blow last week, and they will fancy their chances against a team who have won only twice in 19 matches against top-half opposition.
- Prediction: Swansea 2 Southampton 2
EVERTON v MAN CITY
If Everton had a fully fit squad to choose from, I'd fancy them to nick a point against City. However, with three important players sidelined, everything points to Manuel Pellegrini's men.
- Prediction: Everton 1 Man City 2
ARSENAL v WEST BROM
Arsenal should prove too strong for a West Brom side who have lost five of their last seven away fixtures.
The Gunners have won seven and lost only one of their last 10 top-flight home matches against the Baggies.
- Prediction: Arsenal 3 West Brom 0
CHELSEA v NORWICH
Chelsea have kept a league-high 17 clean sheets this season, and their recent record against Norwich shows eight wins and zero defeats from their previous 10 meetings.
In the 11 EPL matches Chelsea have played this season that have immediately followed a Champions League tie, Jose Mourinho's men have won 10.
- Prediction: Chelsea 2 Norwich 0
CRYSTAL PALACE v LIVERPOOL
Palace have kept first-half clean sheets in 13 of their last 16 matches, so it's not going to be easy for the Reds to bounce straight back from that defeat by Chelsea.
Liverpool have lost three of their last four visits to Selhurst Park, but they should just nick this.
- Prediction: Palace 1 Liverpool 2
