Oxlade-Chamberlain relaxes in Spain as Arsenal return to training

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is getting over his World Cup heartache - with a sunny beach holiday in Spain.

Despite showing promise in pre-tournament friendlies, the Arsenal midfielder failed to play in any of England's matches in Brazil after he picked up a knee injury during a 2-2 draw with Ecuador.

To make matters worse, the Three Lions failed to make the knockout stages as they finished bottom of Group D.

It seems like a holiday in sunny Malaga was what Oxlade-Chamberlain needed as he nurses himself back to fitness ahead of the new English Premier League season.

The 20-year-old posted a holiday shot on Instagram of himself with a group of friends enjoying the sun and sand at the exclusive Sala Beach in Puerto Banus, Malaga.

Earlier, he posted another holiday shot of himself in front of La Sala restaurant in Puerto Banus.

It seems like Oxlade-Chamberlain is certainly enjoying his time off as the Arsenal squad returned to training.

Arsene Wenger was present as he put the Gunners through their paces at London Colneyon Wednesday (July 16).
