Singapore netballers sweep Philippines aside
Singapore cruised to a 84-12 over the Philippines in the South-east Asia (SEA) Games netball tourney at the OCBC Arena earlier today.
The game was a far cry from the dramatic 35-35 draw with Malaysia yesterday, with coach Ruth Aitken taking the opportunity to give everyone in her squad a run-out against a side whose country only got the sport going last November.
The Singapore women put in a professional performance, scoring 21 goals in each of the four quarters for a comfortable victory.
